Announcement Request for Proposals – Virtual Power Plant Development for Community Benefit

The Strategic Growth Council under the Office of Planning and Research invites qualified and experienced virtual power plant providers beginning or considering applications to U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office for Title 17 Loan Guarantees to submit proposals for developing and implementing Distributed Energy Resources at eligible sites.

We make this Request for Proposals to identify a virtual power plant Provider that will partner with SGC and collaborate with eligible sites to enhance the resilience of SGC-supported facilities while contributing to the overall reliability and sustainability of the grid. SGC is a DOE-designated State Energy Financing Institution whose project support can benefit project developers and U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office loan recipients.

SGC expects to select and contract with one virtual power plant provider to collaborate with and identify appropriate eligible sites for virtual power plant development and operation and reserves the right to select and contract with more than one qualified provider.
